Some of the spell descriptions in the core book have odd inconstancies in the descriptions of range and duration. E.g., summon spider says it appears within 5', but has a range of IQ, just like all the other summon spells. Similarly, shape change says it lasts till the end of an encounter, but also has a duration of 'T', suggesting it really should be IQ+skill bonus. What do you all do with things like this? I also noticed some spells have durations that no one must take seriously in practice. Like, listen having an 'Instantaneous' duration. How are you supposed to listen to a distant conversation if the effect lasts a brief instant? I'ld bet everyone who has ever used this spell in play assigns it a default duration of 'T'.
EDIT: A healthy fraction of these are fixed in the book of spells, so well done there!
