IQ8-IQ11 spells complete...and its a boat load of spells already!
Hopefully I can knock out IQ12 before a business trip.
New magical bits will include using spell books and cartomancy-scribing instant spells onto card sized objects, then using characters EN to pay for the spell and DX to test to successfully cast. This should add an interesting game wrinkle/option for play.

That's going to be awesome. I still have yet to get HOW in my hands but I'm excited to see the level of development you're putting into this!

Thanks very much for your support, I hope you will enjoy the game!
I posted my wife's initial sketch of the cover on the blog.

@fenway5: I liked the continuity of the rulebook where the pictures on the inside had multiple images of the same 4 adventurers in silhouette (almost like the cover). I think that idea could be a H&OW meme for future products. You could keep the same meme or switch to something different in each upcoming product. Not preaching...just a thought.

@sir "The four" do make an appearance as the back cover of the Magi Carta! In general they will appear in some form in major books, and I intend to use them as the back cover art on the system books. I appreciate the thoughts and feedback!

-scribing instant spells onto card sized objects, then using characters EN to pay for the spell and DX to test to successfully cast. Sounds good, in my Mythic India setting a series of arcane gestures (mudras) and movements with 4/DX can be used to cast certain spells, when multiple casters are acting in unison gaining a bonus. Alternatively, the Tiger-blooded Hillfolk use roll 4/ST flexing their muscles to summon mystic might for combat enhancements. Which OGL sources are you drawing on ?

Can't wait for the Mythic India setting! I am sticking with core 3.5 content. That is a huge amount of content to plow through before getting creative with other sources. It also means there is opportunity for a Magi Carta 2.

Maybe some of the Runequest and Flying Swordsman stuff would suit B&BM ?

Through IQ17 spells complete...I have eighteen IQ18 spells left...and then the spells are MOSTLY done. I decided I am going to add in the spells from the HOW rules as well so its "complete" additional spells form Cauldron will not be in it though. After that, I have to write up the learning spell options and caster college options as well as a bit on spell books and I may go ahead and add in ritual magic too...and creating staffs...and magic weapons. Crap I'd really like to save some of this stuff...but it just makes sens to include it in the Magic Carta...I think. Anyway, as with all things HOW the rules will be simple and sensible. You can complicate them as you like.

Okay quick update.
Spell descriptions (HOW/MAGI CARTA) are merged! I have listened to some feedback regarding a few instant spells as making converting them to timed. After some play testing and tweaking I agree they are better changed.
Those changed spells from HOW will be available as a free PDF download once the Magi Carta is released.
In addition I have added rules for spell books, options for starting spell levels, and option limits learning new spells.
Before I jump into it--do you need or subclass spell lists? (Druid, Necromancer? Sorcerer? etc.)

I like the spells listed by IQ level...but if I wanted to group them another way, I'd list the spells by type (illusion, conjuring, necromancy, etc.) rather than class.
Class-specific narrows the field too much. Also too DnD-centric for my tastes.
