i've been looking at ways to adapt Barbarian Prince to LAW/HOW compatible rules for some time. this week, i started making some headway. there are points where my adaptation could use a little direction from whatever the mission of the adventure will be. that's where i'd like to get some ideas from you fine folks.
i have 2 ideas already but after seeing all of the great ideas you all had for geordieracer's sandbox, i'm throwing this out here.
my ideas so far: 1. keep the original mission to return the barbarian prince to throne. start with 4 characters plus the BP himself. 2. the ruins defined on the map will be temples that are still 'clean'. the other, original temples are 'unclean', filled with nasty things, and need to be cleared out (basically, in a nutshell).
maybe i'll stick with #1 and #2 will be the sequel. would like to hear some other ideas or encouragement concerning the ideas i already have.
i may come back here to ask for help with other things as well but that is all for now...just story ideas. thanks!

Whatever side missions there are, I think they should fit into the big mission(#1) - Maybe to gain favour with an important individual or faction (who will support you claiming the BP's throne) you have to clear a ruin, retrieve something or someone from it etc.

i may not have made myself clear in the original post. the objective/story of the original BP was 'you are BP. reclaim your throne'. in the original post, i was looking for alternate objectives/stories that could replace that, not complement it.
...but i like what you're saying and that's a great idea if i run with the original story idea (#1). keep it coming!

Sorry for my uninformedness, but what is LAW? Confused by the acronym.

Legends of the Ancient World ? - the Dark City clone hmm. interesting choice of words...but yes, Legends of the Ancient World by Dark City Games. no need to apologize for uninformedness. that makes me paranoid that i'm coming across as snoody...and i hate that. mischevious, smart-ass, goofy, dorky, scatter-brained, stubborn i can take...just not snoody.

Some people might have heard about a thing called “crowd sourcing,” where input is sought for some project from anyone who might have something to say. Not only could crowd sourced car design work, it’s already being done. The world wide web, a series of tubes invented by Al Gore, is also good for connecting people the world over, with a diverse array of outlooks and knowledge. In some cases, such as Facebook, they come together to forget the difference between “their” and “they’re,” which an idiot can figure out, on a global scale. In other cases, they get stuff done. looks like spammers have found _their_ way in. _they're_ a sorry lot.

I thought so too. But wasn't completely sure because erwan really had to work at that convoluted post the convolution is actually what tipped me off. however, the criticism about the use of their and they're left me unsure. i had to double-check all of my posts to be sure! my brain knows the difference but my autopilot doesn't.
